Willis A. Griffith, II

Willis A. “Bill” Griffith, II, 82, Altoona, passed away Monday morning at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of Willis A. and Elizabeth M. (Nixdorf) Griffith. On June 29, 1968, he married Kaye Louise James in Altoona. In addition to his wife of 52 years, he is survived by a son, William J. of Jersey City, NJ and a brother, George D. of Monroeville. Bill was a 1957 graduate of Altoona High School and he attended Penn State Altona. He retired from Butterick as an Office Service Manager. He was a member of East End United Methodist Church and the Bavarian Aid Society. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf. He was a Veteran of the US Army during 1961 to 1963 as a Spec 4. Friends will be received on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. Funeral Service at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata with Rev. Fred Hickok officiating. Interment will be made at Alto Reste Park.
