Wilbert E. Wolfe, Jr.

Wilbert E. Wolfe, Jr., 79, Altoona, passed away late Thursday evening at his home.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Wilbert E., Sr. and Florance (Shannon) Wolfe. On August 17, 1968, he married Trudy Yingling at the East End United Methodist Church in Altoona.

In addition to his wife of 52 years, he is survived by a daughter, Krissy Merritts and husband Dean of Altoona; a granddaughter, Jordyn Merritts of Altoona; a grandson, Joshua Merritts of Altoona; and several nieces and nephews.

Wilbert served in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of the Bavarian Aid Society and enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, camping, and spending time with his family.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at Alto Reste Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc.
