Vernon M. Dublin

Vernon M. Dublin, 79, Altoona, passed away Saturday morning at his home. He was born in Philipsburg, son of the late Vernon M., Sr. and Margaret E. (Keith) Dublin. On June 20, 1969, he married Sherry Gibson in Altoona. In addition to his wife, Sherry; he is survived by three children: David Dublin of Altoona, Mellissa Layfield of Dubois, and Colleen Dublin of Altoona; five grandchildren: Sean Hansard, Tyler Rhine, Erica Gatlin, Adam Rhine, and Jordan Dublin; and two siblings: John Dublin of Maryland and Jean Nagle of Altoona. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Dublin. Vernon retired in February of 2007 from Sel-Lo Oil as a truck driver and he was a member of the New Life Community Church. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc.
