Shirley Ann (Campbell) McLaughlin, born August 19th, 1937, of Altoona, passed away peacefully, Monday, June 1st, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Anna (Keyes) Campbell and Ernest W. Campbell Sr.

She married James McLaughlin on July 26th and they shared sixty-seven beautiful years together.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She created a wonderful home for her family and friends, especially with her fabulous recipes and excellent cooking. She was always stylish and elegant. She was a lifelong, faithful Christian and a member of Mardorf United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, Shirley is survived by a son, Michael McLaughlin (Christine) of Indiana; a grandson, Michael McLaughlin (Kelly); a granddaughter, Katharine McLaughlin; great grandchildren: Isabelle and Joseph McLaughlin; two sisters: Nancy McTigue and Sarah Wolfe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Campbell, Jr.

Family and friends will be received from 11 am to 12 pm on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, where a funeral service will begin at 12 pm with Pastor Ed Preston officiating. Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery.
