Sheryl F. Umstead

Sheryl F. Umstead, 75, Duncansville, passed away early Thursday morning at The Winds at Mattern Orchard. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late George W. and Phyllis E. (Brown) McArthur. On September 7, 1963 she married George H. Umstead. In addition to her husband of 56 years, she is survived by four children: Sheri L. (Scott) Ellis of North Carolina, Steven M. (Michele) Umstead of Bellwood, Brian M. (Rhonda) Umstead of Altoona, Jill (Daniel) Healy of North Carolina; eight grandchildren: Tyler Ellis, Jamie Ellis, Brittany (Nicholas) Degol, Steven Umstead, Jr., Alex Umstead, Kaitlyn Umstead, Patrick Healy, and Matthew Healy; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers: George W. McArthur III and Dennis W. McArthur. Sheryl was a 1962 graduate of Altoona High School. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Friends will be received on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. Memorial Service at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata. Pastor John Collins officiating.
