Ruth L. Williams

Ruth L. Williams, 88, Melbourne Beach, FL, formerly of Altoona, PA, passed away Tuesday at her home. 

She was born in Altoona, PA, daughter of the late Clarence and Olive M. (Sunderland) Albright. On May 14, 1969, she married Gilbert R. Williams, Jr. in Altoona, PA. He preceded her in death on October 8, 2007. 

Ruth is survived by a son, Gilbert R. Williams, III in Melbourne Beach, FL; a daughter-in-law, Christine M. (Vaughn) Williams; a granddaughter, Taylor J. Williams; a grandson, Colby J. Williams; and siblings: Charles Albright, Kenneth Albright, Darlene Albright and Donna Hollen. 

Ruth was preceded in death by her brothers: Clarence L. Albright and Ronald Albright; and her granddaughter, Lauryn Paige Williams.

Ruth was a 1952 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired from the Valley View Home as a clerk. 

She served in the US Navy from 1952 to 1956 during Korean Conflict. 

Friends will be received from Noon to 1 pm on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4^th Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 1 pm with Rev. Dr. Michelle Bodle officiating. Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery.
