Ruth A Korman

Ruth A. Korman, 74, of Altoona, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at her residence.

She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late James and Alberta (Garman) Gray. She married Gene B. Korman, Sr., on March 15, 2008, in Altoona. He preceded her in death on July 7, 2024.

Ruth is survived by one son, Gene Korman (Peggy) of Gallitzin; three daughters, Tina Lee, of Altoona, Shannon Lee (Kevin) of Gallitzin, and Christina Korman, of Altoona; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; four sisters, Naomi Frye (Mel), Jennie Harpster, and Mary Allison, all of Altoona, and Sarah Stewart (Dan), of Hollidaysburg; and one brother, William Gray, of Altoona.

She retired from the Altoona School District as a teacher’s aide after 25 years service.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin; one brother, Thomas Gray.

At Ruth’s request, there will be no Viewing or Funeral Service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
