Russell D Zeak

Russell D. Zeak, 59, Altoona, died Tuesday at UPMC-Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of J. Michael and Nancy A. (McGrath) Zeak. Surviving are his mother, Nancy of Altoona; three sisters: Marjorie Zeak of Altoona, Ann Knipple of Poquoson, VA, and Barb Fieldhausen (Pam Porch) of LaVernia, TX; two brothers: Ed (Kathleen) of New Oxford, PA and Frank (Pam) of York; and a sister-in-law, Kathy Zeak of Patton. Also surviving is his fiancé, Shelly Good; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, J. William "Bill" Zeak. Russell worked as a finishing carpenter in the construction business. He was a 1980 graduate of Altoona High School and he enjoyed his boat and the casino but most of all his dog, Sam. Friends will be received from 4 to 5:30 pm on Monday, November 8, 2021 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata where a memorial service will be held at 5:30 pm with The Very Rev. Ronald Osinski. Inurnment will be made at Calvary Cemetery.
