Russell Irvin Walters

Russell Irvin Walters, 88, Altoona, died peacefully Sunday morning at his home after a brief illness.

He was born in Claysburg, son of the late Joseph and Clara (Seymore) Walters. He married Dorcas Kipp. She preceded him in death after nearly 46 years of marriage on April 27, 2008.

He is survived by a sister-in-law, Sharon Gearhart and husband Gary and numerous nieces and nephews.

Russell was the last of his immediate family.

He retired as a car repairman from Berwind Railway Service.

He served in the U.S. Army.

At the request of the deceased, no public services will be held. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc.
