Ronald Eugene Green, 81, Altoona, passed away Sunday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Florine Green Hebler.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Cisney, of 46 years; daughter, Rhonda Green; step-son, Paul Cisney (Kristy) of Salisbury, NC; five grandchildren: Cory, Kerry, Tyler, Nathan and Brianna; and three great grandchildren: Kaylee, Gavin and Emma.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Hamilton Green.
Ronald was a 1959 graduate of Altoona High School and he retired from Furrer Beverage after 36 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and he attended the Altoona Lighthouse Men’s Fellowship and enjoyed Charles Stanley’s ministry, In Touch.
He was a member of DAV and the American Legion. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and he enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ronald was a Sergeant Combat Medic with the 547th Med Co in Germany and was a disabled veteran from injury in the line of duty.
Friends will be received from 11 am to 1 pm on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata where a funeral service will be held at 1 pm with the Lighthouse Ministry officiating and military honors. Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery
