Richard Dale Brehman

Richard Dale Brehman June 7, 1929 -- December 25, 2020 Richard Dale Brehman, 91, Altoona, died Christmas day at Elmcroft of Altoona. He was born in Williamsburg, PA, a son of the late George E. and Ethel (Acker) Brehman. He married Shirley Mae Biddle on September 2, 1949 in Altoona. She preceded him in death on December 18, 2003. He is survived by his daughter; Debra Johnston of Hollidaysburg, one brother; George of Lancaster, PA, one sister; Carol Briggs in Florida and three grandchildren; Adam Johnston, Amanda Wilkinson and Brady Johnston, three great-grandchildren; Claire Johnston, Audrey Johnston, Kelstyn Wilkinson, and several nieces and nephews. . He graduated from Altoona High School, class of 1947. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, from 1954-1956. He retired from Penelec where he worked from 1949-1991 as a draftsman. Richard was a member of Portage Lodge #220, Hollidaysburg, the Jaffa Shrine and was also a member of Kiwanis. He loved playing baseball and enjoyed bowling, taking bus trips and loved to travel. He was of the Lutheran faith. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no viewing or service. Burial will take place at Alto Reste Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc.
