Paul Andrew Wombacher

Paul “Huck” Andrew Wombacher, 58, Altoona, died Thursday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Barry Wombacher Sr. and Esther (Erickson) Wombacher Surviving are a daughter, Sarah Friedenberger of San Diego, Calif.;, 10 siblings: Deborah K. (Dan) Long of Hollidaysburg, Barry H. Wombacher Jr. of Altoona, Cindy L. Hughes of Altoona, John J. Hann of Altoona, Kathy M. Friedenberger of Altoona, Phillip H. (Stephanie) Wombacher of Glasglow, Sherry S. (Wade) Koelle of Altoona, Trudy M. (Pete) Long of Hollidaysburg and Kevin (Rose) Wombacher. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred and Stephen. Paul was a long time employee at the Altoona Mirror and the golf course at Park Hills Country Club. He was a NASCAR and Dallas Cowboys fanatic. He loved spending time with his many great-nieces and nephews. He also was an avid hunter and fisher. Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, where a funeral service will follow immediately, Pastor Ken Beichler Officiating. Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.
