Patty R. Decker, 81, Bellwood, passed away Thursday at her home.
She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Sam and Agnes Pfahler.
On October 19, 1965, she married her loving husband, Thomas E. Decker, in Bellwood. Together, they shared many years of marriage, building a family and a lifetime of memories.
In addition to her husband, Thomas, Patty is survived by her three sons: Thomas E. Decker, Jr., and his wife, Brenda, of Bellwood; Mark “Butch” Decker and his wife, Linda, of Bellwood; and Mike Decker and his wife, Nicole, of Bellwood; and two half-sisters: Sandy Conley and Lori Pfahler. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, who brought her much joy and happiness. Her beloved dog and faithful companion, Lizzie, will also miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Roseanne Decker.
Patty was a graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School. She was self-employed throughout her working years and, alongside her husband, was the co-owner of D&R Transportation and Decker's Garage in Bellwood. She retired in 2017.
A lifelong passion of Patty’s was racing, particularly dirt late model racing, where she was involved as a co-owner. Her love for the sport was a special part of her life. When she wasn't enjoying the excitement of racing, Patty enjoyed arts and crafts, working in her yard, and spending time doing the things she loved.
