Nancy J. James

Nancy J. James, 67, Altoona, with her husband by her side, went to be with her Lord and Savior early Saturday morning at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late William Arthur, II and Shirley (Winters) Grove. On June 28, 1975, she married Donald C. James in Altoona.

In addition to her husband, Donald, of 46 years, she is survived by a daughter, Susan Miller of Bellwood; a grandson, Konnor Miller; two granddaughters: Emma and Kaelyn Miller; a brother, William Grove, III of Florida; a sister, Cynthia Cofty (Sid) of Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Donald C. James, Jr., “Donnie”, on July 16, 2006.

Nancy enjoyed crochet and sewing and she especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren and family.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4^th Avenue, Juniata. Friends will also be received on Thursday, October 7 from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service at the funeral home, with Pastor Ashely Shook officiating. Interment will be made at Logan Valley Cemetery.
