Morris S. Exler, Sr.

Morris S. Exler, Sr., 83, Altoona, passed away Friday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Pittsburgh, son of the late Louis and Celia (Schlackman) Exler. On October 6, 1964, he married Alice R. (McGreevy) Exler in Winchester, VA. In addition to his wife, Alice, of 57 years, he is survived by seven children: Morris S. Exler, Jr., Sherri Exler, Joseph Exler, James Exler and wife Dana, Donald Exler, Vicki Mendoza, and Peter Svabic; 18 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Morris retired from Conrail as a car painter with 25 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army. Friends will be received from 10 am to 12 pm on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata where a funeral service will be held at 12 pm with Pastor Matt Hornberger officiating. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park.
