Matthew Timothy Allison, 46, Altoona, passed away Tuesday at his home.

Born in Altoona, he was the cherished son of Timothy C. and Marsha K. (Butterbaugh) Allison.

Matthew’s spirit lives on through his two brothers, Justin (married to Dr. Mary Beth) in South Carolina, and Travis in Virginia, as well as his adored niece and nephew, Lena and Ben. His love extended beyond family, embracing his beloved pets, Mindy the cat and Winston the dog, who brought him much joy.

He was preceded in death by his dear sister, Heidi Allison.

A true jack of all trades, Matthew had a diverse array of skills and passions. He found joy in hiking the trails, fishing in serene waters, and especially in cooking, where he showcased his love for making pizza. Matthew was known for his generous and kind-hearted nature; he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.

As we celebrate Matthew's life, it is evident that his warmth and compassion will be deeply missed but fondly remembered. A Celebration of Life will be organized at a later date, allowing those whose lives he touched to gather and cherish the beautiful memories shared.
