Martin “Louie” Williams, 77, of Altoona, died Monday at his residence in Sinking Valley.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Bruce and Mary (Waite) Williams. On April 8, 1967 he married Joyce Boyles in Altoona.
In addition to his wife, Joyce, of 54 years, he is survived by a daughter, Jendi Hoover (Randy); a son, Marty Williams, II (Heidi) ; three grandchildren: Brayden Hoover, Jalee Hoover, and Randy Hoover, Jr. He is also survived by two brothers: Terry Williams (Kathy) and Jim Williams (Sandy); and a sister, Joan Beck.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert Williams, Sr. and Thomas Williams, Sr. and a sister, Grace Paul.
Louie was a 50 year member of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local Union 354 where he retired from and a member at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sinking Valley. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. He enjoyed golfing and hunting. He also enjoyed spending time with his brother, Terry Williams and taking long walks with his beloved dog, “Little B”. Louie will be missed by many.
Friends will be received from 2 until the 4 pm memorial service on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona.
