Marjorie “Marge” Eva McMasters,82, Hollidaysburg, passed away Thursday at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Evans, Sr. and Ruth N. (Diehl) Hite. She was twice married. She married Ronald R. Hofmann in 1970 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Altoona. He preceded her in death in 1985. She later married Robert F. McMasters on October 21, 1995 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Altoona. He preceded her in death on February 7, 2021.
She is survived by a brother, William E. Hite of Hollidaysburg; three sisters: Patricia L Neil of Hollidaysburg, Susan J. McManamy (Bob) of Hollidaysburg and Elaine G. Hite of Duncansville; a step grandson, Jason McMasters (Stephanie); and two step great grandsons: Dominic and Donovin McMasters. She was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, R. Joann and a brother, Evans Hite, Jr.
Marge was a 1961 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School; she was a member of the class reunion committee. She was an active member of Simpson-Temple Lutheran Church and was currently a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. In her younger years, she was an active member of the Girls Scouts where she served as an assistant leader.
She retired from Town & Country Department Store and also retired from the Blair County Prison.
She enjoyed bowling, traveling, county music and family gatherings.
At the request of the deceased, no public services will be held. Burial will take place at Grandview Cemetery.
