Marian L. Grove

Mrs. Marian Louise Grove, 93, of Middletown, PA passed away Sunday evening at Frey Village. She was the daughter of the late August John Schillig and Ruth B. (Swayne) Schillig of Altoona, PA.

Marian retired after 36 years from the Hershey Chocolate Company. She was a 1946 graduate of the former John Harris High School. She was a member of the Chocolate Workers Union Local 464, Hershey and the former Shellsville, PA VFW #9639 Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed bingo, crocheting and travelling.

She was the widow of John Edward Grove and is survived by a son, Robert William Hurley of Sellingsgrove, PA. Mauk & Yates Funeral Home of Altoona, PA is in charge of funeral arrangements. There will not be a viewing. A private service will be conducted by Chaplin Wayne Muther of Frey Village. Internment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Altoona, PA. She was a member of the former Progress Immanuel Presbyterian Church Harrisburg, PA.
