Margaret Steele

Margaret Steele, 96, Altoona died Saturday at her home. She was born in Long Island, NY, the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret E. (Mendler) Kearns. She was twice married, first to Warren O. Steele, then to Malvin Pritchett, both of whom preceded her in death. Surviving is her son John of Altoona, four grandchildren; Scott, John, Billy and Raylene, six great grandchildren; Anessa, Sarah, Breanna, MacKenzie, Savanna and Emily and one great great grandchild; Ollie, and several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her generation. She attended First Church of Christ, Juniata Gap. She graduated from high school in New York. During her working years, she worked on the assembly line at Sylvania. She loved helping people as a babysitter and also was an at home caregiver for many people. Friends will be received from 10am until the 11am service, Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the First Church of Christ, Juniata Gap, with Pastor John Collins officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Altoona.
