Lillie C. Ainscough, 104, Hollidaysburg, peacefully passed away Sunday.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Daniel C. and Grace E. (Stonebraker) Showalter.

On October 20, 1945, she married Robert W. Ainscough in Altoona; he preceded her in death on October 22, 1997.

Lillie is survived by a daughter, Cynda Ann Rehm (Nunzio) of Altoona, along with a daughter-in-law, Judy Ainscough of Mechanicsburg. Lillie cherished her role as a grandmother to Michele McCarthy (Tim), Brian Rehm (Krista), Scott Ainscough and Jennifer Ainscough. She was also a proud great grandmother to Brady and Connor McCarthy, Tyron and Trevor Rehm and Miles Ainscough. Additionally, she is also survived by several nieces and a nephew residing in Uniontown.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dan and a sister, Eva Shull.

Lillie was a 1939 graduate of Altoona High School and also a graduate of the Altoona School of Commerce. She retired from Sylvania in 1979 as a Production Control Office Clerk where she was a member of the GTE Sylvania Quarter Century Club.

She was a lifelong active member of the Fourth Street Church of God, where she served in numerous capacities and was a charter member of the Cloverleaf Class.

An enthusiastic sports fan, Lillie had a particular fondness for Penn State and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her family and especially adored her great grandsons and attending their sporting events.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fourth Street Church of God or to the Central PA Humane Society, 1837 E Pleasant Vally Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.

A funeral service will be held Friday at the Fourth Street Church of God, times to be determined.
