LeeAnn M. Walters

LeeAnn M. Walters, 64, Altoona, sadly passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, after a hard fought battle with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer, at UPMC Passavant, Pittsburgh.

She was born October 2, 1959, in Altoona, daughter of the late William Shaffer, Sr. and Eleanor (Schultz) Shaffer and married Robert S. Walters, Sr., May 26, 1979 in Altoona.

Surviving is her husband of 45 years; one son, Robert S. Walters, Jr. and wife Alyssa in New Jersey; one daughter, Valerie N. Ballarotto and husband Scott of Philipsburg; five grandchildren: Robert S. III, Bryce, Everett, Kennedy and Serena; and five siblings.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Abigail Becker and a brother in law, David Ammerman.

She was a 1977 graduate of Juniata Valley High School.  She enjoyed gardening, reading and loved spending time with her grandchildren and her beloved dog, Pippin.
