Karen J. Walker

Karen J. Walker, 74, Altoona, passed away peacefully Tuesday at her home.

Born in Lawton, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Jessie (Kwiatkowski) Grim.

Karen's legacy lives on through her children: Shawn Walker and wife Tonya of Altoona, Michelle Walker of Mercersburg, Brian Walker of Altoona, Ami Ehlenberger and husband Jeff of Lansdale, and Heather Morris and husband Jeremiah of Altoona. She was a loving grandmother to Taryn, Haley, Shamus, Chayse, Gabriella, Carly, Lydia, Spencer, Breon, and Alys, and has two cherished great-grandchildren, Eslyn and Tobyn.

Karen was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Clair, and the father of her children, Paul Walker, Jr.

Known for her nurturing spirit, Karen embraced her role as a mother to all and generously welcomed her friends' children into her heart. With a gentle voice paired with remarkable strength, she made a lasting impression on everyone she met. Karen had a passion for sewing and knitting, and she treasured moments spent at the beach. Most importantly, she found great joy in the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which she cherished above all.

Her presence will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
