Judd Raymer Stehley, III, 76, Hollidaysburg, passed away Sunday at the Hollidaysburg Veteran’s Home.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Judd Raymer, II and June (Bittner) Stehley. He also had a step-mother, Joyce Stehley Norris.
On October 24, 2022, he married Connie Mae Clapper in Hollidaysburg.
In addition to his wife Connie, he is survived by a daughter, Shannon Stehley Snyder (Kenneth) of Duncansville; grandchildren: Natashia Snyder of Altoona, Jacob Prioux of Duncansville, Hannah Snyder of Duncansville, and Delilah Snyder of Duncansville; a great grandson, Finley Snyder; siblings: Debbie, Tricia, Sharon, Danny, Karen and Mark; step-mother, Joyce Stehley Norris; and Nancy Spielvogle, mother of Shannon.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William Stehley and a sister, Betsy.
Judd was a 1966 graduate of Altoona High School. He retired from Butterick as a printer and graphic art page layout person after 35 years of service.
He enjoyed camping, kayaking, long distance biking on C&O bike trail and riding his Harley.
He served in the US Marine Corps as Military Police in Da Nang for three years during Vietnam. He later spent four years in the Army Reserves.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. Family and friends will be received from 3 to 6 pm on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, 16601 where a memorial service will immediately follow at 6 pm. Inurnment will be made at Bedford County Memorial Park, Bedford, PA.
