John James Stoy, 87, Altoona, passed away early Wednesday morning at Midtown Oaks Health & Rehab Center.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Clarence and Florene (Holland) Stoy.

He married Marian L. Crawford. She preceded him in death on July 10, 1992.

He is survived by children: Karen Renee Stoy of Williamsburg and Tina Galloway Smith, John J. Stoy, Jr. of Altoona and Polly Ann Young of Altoona; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and siblings: Barbara and Anna.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Stoy, Jr. and Joe; and a sister, Helen.

John dedicated 36 years of service as a bus driver for Amtran before his retirement. He was an active member of the Bavarian Club and the Tyrone Sportsman Club, and he enjoyed the sport of shotgun shooting and hunting.

A private interment will be held at Blair Memorial Park. Arrangements are entrusted to Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc.
