John Charles Milford, 77, Altoona, formerly of Skaneateles, NY, passed away early Wednesday morning at Hilltop Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Auburn, NY, son of the late Robert Stillwell and Frances (Shapley) Milford.

He is survived by a son, Christopher Milford and his wife Laura of Altoona; and three sisters: Ann Ade of Mebane, NC, Jane Cooney of Skaneateles, NY and Meg Schneider of Skaneateles, NY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Rob.

John graduated from Skaneateles High School in 1967 and received his bachelor’s degree in business from Ashland College. He retired from Club Car in Augusta, GA where he worked as a territory and regional manager and zone director. He also later retired from Martin’s Grocery store where he worked as a grocery loader.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing, Jimmy Buffett, and participating in Skan-E-Antics, a variety show put on by Skaneateles residents. He also loved visits and taking walks with his favorite grand-dog Tovi.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Interment will be made at Lakeview Cemetery, Skaneateles, Onondaga County, NY.
