John A. Colella

John A. Colella, 75, Altoona, passed away Monday morning at his home. He was born in Altoona, son of the late John and Violet (Brooks) Colella. He is survived his wife, Donna K. (Barr) Colella; two children: Tracey Giordano and husband Shawn and John Barr; grandchildren: Vahta Dillen, JR Dillen, Derek Dillen, Allen Shannon, and Josh Shannon; a great granddaughter, Peyton Knox; and siblings: Janet Barr “Colella” and Bob Colella and wife Martha; all of Altoona. John attended Altoona High School. He worked as an Inspection Mechanic and was self-employed until January of 2019. He enjoyed fishing, camping, car shows, racing, animals, and spending time with his family. Friends will be received from 11 until the 1 p.m. Funeral Service on Monday, August 26, 2019 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata. Interment will be made at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family in care of Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601.
