Joan C. Orner, 95, Altoona, went home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Wilson T. and Velma M. (Hopkins) Hamler.

On October 27, 1951, she married David W. Orner. He preceded her in death on November 26, 2016.

She is survived by a son, Gary D. Orner of Altoona and a sister, Patricia Wertz.

She was preceded in death by a son, Scott Orner and her beloved twin sister, June Ehgartner.

Joan was a 1948 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired as a secretary from Blair Honda.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She volunteered at the Altoona Hospital, enjoyed gardening and visiting with neighborhood friends.

At the request of the deceased, no public services will be held. A private burial will take place at Alto Reste Park.
