Jeffery L. Hughes

Jeffery L. Hughes, 65, Duncansville, formerly of the Buckhorn, passed away Saturday.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late George, Sr. and Joyce (Burley) Hughes.

He is survived by a daughter, Joyce Coleman (Michael) of Williamsport; a grandson, Torin Coleman; two sisters: Mindy Billetdeaux of Roaring Spring and Darlene Arthurs (Gary) of Lexington, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

Jeffery retired from the PA Army National Guard where he received rank of Staff Sergeant (E6).

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and carpentry and was a Steelers fan.

Family and friends will be received from Noon to 1 pm on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601 where military honors will be held at 1 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the SPC Chad Edmundson Memorial Foundation.
