Jane Louise Fields, 93, Altoona, passed away Thursday at the Hollidaysburg Veteran’s Home.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Elvera Karlson.

On December 21, 1955, she married Fred R. Fields. He preceded her in death on January 17, 2017.

She is survived by two sons: Ronald (Valerie) Fields in Katy, TX and Randy (Hattie) Fields in Sealy, TX; and grandchildren: Evelyn Fields, Justin Fields, Rosalie (Timothy) Viveiros, Fredrick Fields, Kasandra (Chrisopher) Adams and Vanessa (Kevin) Halls; and a great grandson, Jackson Adams.

Jane retired as a school bus driver and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir and served in various other capacities.

As a devoted mother and caring figure, Jane's legacy of love and kindness will resonate within the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her generous spirit and the warmth she brought into the lives of others.

She served in the US Army as a Tech Sgt.

A funeral service will be held at Noon on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona. Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery.
