James"Jim" W. Gilmore, Jr.

James “Jim” W. Gilmore, 84, Altoona, passed away early Tuesday morning at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late James W., Sr. and Lottie (Jones) Gilmore. He married Cora L. Speacht. She preceded him in death in 1979. He is survived by a son, James “Jim” W. Gilmore, III and wife Heather of Altoona; two step-sons: Tommy McMann of Elk County and Danny McMann of East Freedom; a grandson, Coran Gilmore; and two sisters: Bonnie Buck and husband Jerry of Altoona and Deb Harvey and husband Roland of Ohio. Jim was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Bellwood. He retired from the Altoona Mirror as a Classified Ads Manager. At the request of the deceased, no public services will be held.
