James Stanley Kobel, Jr.

James Stanley Kobel, Jr., 76, Altoona, passed away Friday at his home.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late James Stanley and Elda L. (Stehley) Kobel.

On March 31, 1972, he married Ella D. Luke in Bellwood.

In addition to his wife, Ella; he is survived by a daughter, Dawn N. Kobel and son-in-law, Adam Yoffe of Chicago, IL; two sisters: Twila Perkins of Clearfield and Linda Smith of Altoona and two brothers: Kevin Kobel of Altoona and Rodney Kobel of Altoona. He is also survived by four sister-in-law’s and three brother-in-law’s.

James was a 1965 graduate of Altoona High School. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and football and spending time with his family and dogs.

He served in the US Army.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Newburg Fire Co Social Hall, 2805 Washington Avenue, Altoona, 16601.
