Gordon Cooper

Gordon D. Cooper, 84, Altoona, passed away Thursday.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Raymond and Rose Mary (Dougherty) Cooper.

He is survived by a son, Greg Cooper of Altoona; two daughters: Tracy Korman and husband Bill of Altoona and Sandra Jones Cooper of Florida; four grandchildren: Josh Jones, Weston, Addison and Brennan Cooper; and two siblings: Michael Cooper of Florida and Donna Hazlett of Bellwood.

Gordon owned and worked as a mechanic at Cooper’s Garage. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Family and friends will be received from 4 to 6 pm on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, 16602. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
