Gloria J. Meckley

Gloria J. Meckley, 80, Altoona, went home to her Lord and Savior on Friday.

She was born in Clearfield County, a daughter of the late Doyle and Virginia (Kauffman) Hurd.

She is survived by a son, Donald D. Meckley and wife Lisa of Forked River, NJ; a daughter, Christina McIntosh and husband Douglas of Altoona; three grandchildren: Ashley Hamilton and husband Hunter, Donald P. Meckley and wife Kati, and Rachel McIntosh; great grandchildren: Donnie and Barrett; and a brother, Thomas Hurd of Clearfield.

She was preceded in death by siblings: Hazel Wood, Charles Hurd, Alice Patchin, and Betty Barrett.

Gloria was a founding member of Faith Baptist Church where she was active in the children’s ministry, vacation bible school and various other programs throughout the church.

Friends will be received from 11 am to 2 pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4^th Avenue, Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 2 pm with Pastor Gary Dull officiating. Interment will be made at LaJose Cemetery, Newburg.
