Eric Wayne Wible

Eric Wayne Wible, 56, Altoona, passed away Saturday after a brief illness surrounded by his family.

He was born in Altoona, son of Ronald James and Norma L. (Williams) Wible. On November 3, 1999, he married Cheryl D. Lyle in Altoona.

In addition to his wife of 23 years, he is survived by his mother, Norma; a son, Jeremi of Altoona; siblings: Carol Wiedemann and husband Cal of Altoona, Deana Wible of Pittsburgh and Troy Wible and wife Alicia of Reading; nieces: Cara Warner (Craig), Carling Miller (Cory), Casey Craine (Pete), Alice Barber (Jeff); great nieces and nephews: Aleigha, Ava, Alexia, Emma, Paul, Cora, Mason, Callie, Colton and Rowan; and his beloved companion, Rambo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald; a brother, Lewis Wible; and father-in-law, Daryl Lyle.

Eric was a project manager for Ameron Construction in State College. He was also owner/operator of Wible’s Corner for many years.

He regularly attended First Baptist Church in Altoona. He was an avid history buff and collected Civil War memorabilia. He enjoyed golfing, ice cream tours in the Jaguar with his family, surprise excursions with his wife, and organizing annual Easter egg hunts for his great nieces and nephews.

Eric was a very generous and giving man and his final act was giving back to others through organ donation.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at First Baptist Church, 1209 17^th Street, Altoona, PA 16601 and from 11 am to 12 pm on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the church where a funeral service will be held at 12 pm with Pastor Tyler Pepper officiating.
