Little, Jr.
March 30, 1945 – February 23, 2026
Elmer Gorden Little, Jr., 80, Altoona, passed away Monday.
He was born in Tyrone, son of the late Elmer G. and Rose (Stack) Little.
On June 11, 1965, he married Edna LaRue Miller.
He is survived by his children: Misty Lynn Little Weyandt (Doug Sparkman) of Hollidaysburg, Holly Burick (Tom) of Duncansville and James William Little (Brittani) of Roaring Spring; grandchildren: Paul, Jr. (Shannan), Amanda (Jim), Casandra (Alex), Nickolas (Eunice), Christopher and Ellie; great grandchildren: Korttnee, Breeaunna, Noazayiah, Jeremiah, Makaylee, Malekeyi, Issebella, Sofeeya, Weston and Bentley; and two sisters: Mary Ann Miller and Debbie Leech.
Elmer dedicated 20 years of service to the US Army. He fought during Vietnam and served as a sergeant.
Elmer first worked at the shoe factory before transitioning to roofing and driving trucks for North America. An avid lover of the outdoors, he found joy in fishing, hunting, and camping, and he participated in gun competitions. He was a valued member of the Newburg Fire Social Hall and Saint Stans, where he enjoyed watching football and playing pool.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 1 pm at The Well of Blair County Church, 605 Burns Avenue, Altoona. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm with dinner to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
