Edna "Peggy" Margaret Thompson

Edna Margaret “Peggy” Thompson, 88, Altoona, passed away Monday morning at Embassy of Hearthside in State College. She was born in East Freedom, daughter of the late Sheldon and Gertrude (Weyandt) Benton. She married Carl R. Thompson, Jr. and he preceded in death in 2003. She is survived by five children: Tina M. Hyduke and husband Robert of Port Matilda, Gregory D. of Altoona, M. Jayne Burke and husband Michael of Altoona, Carl R., III of Altoona, and John Charles “Chuck” and wife Suzanne of Boalsburg; five grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Kayley, Carl IV, Michaela, and Molly; a sister, Nancy Clinich of Ebensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Peggy worked as a seamstress for various places throughout her working years. She also volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul. Friends will he received on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 4 to 6 pm at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata. Inurnment will be made at Grandview Cemetery.
