Edna M. Barry

Edna M. Barry, 93, Altoona, passed away Monday at her home. She was born in Loretto, daughter of the late Bernard and Cecelia (Hammond) Beiswenger. She married Walter C. Barry. He preceded her in death on November 13, 1992. She is survived by four children: Stephen Barry, W. Lynn Barry, Scott Barry, and Deborah Barry; all of Altoona; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and two nieces: Marie George of Lewistown and Ginny Tarka of Ohio. Edna worked for Sylvania, JC Penney, and Ye Olde Hoppy Shop. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata. A funeral mass will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, December 7 at Sacred Heart Church, 511 20th Street, Altoona, 16602. Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to UPMC Hospice.
