Dorothy M. Waite

Dorothy M. Waite, 96, formerly of Bellemead, passed away early Friday morning at Homewood at Martinsburg. She was born in Bellwood, daughter of the late John and Myrtle (Taylor) Mills. She married Ronald B. Waite. He preceded her in death in 1981. Dorothy is survived by two daughters: Linda Bellock and husband Edward of Roaring Spring and Janice Muccitelli of Altoona; three grandchildren: Kristina Jassak, Courtney Williams, and Ronald Muccitelli; and six great grandchildren: Maxwell and Mila Jassak, Carlin, Camryn, and Cadence Williams, and Timothy Muccitelli. Dorothy was the last survivor of her six siblings. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ron Muccitelli. Dorothy worked as a Nurses Aide at the Altoona Hospital. She also worked at the Altoona Library and during WWII, she worked in the car shops in Juniata. She was a former member of Greenwood United Methodist Church, the Golden Nuggets, and the Heidelberg Card Club. She enjoyed traveling, flowers, and gardening. Private family services will be held. Interment will take place at Burket Cemetery, Warriors Mark.
