Doris Jean Smith

  Doris Jean Estep Smith, 87, Altoona, died Saturday morning, December 19th, following an extended illness.  She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Franklin Streightiff & Grace Edna (Mohler).

  She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Aseltyne of Sarasota, Florida and Barbara E. Socks of Waynesboro, PA, one son; Donald Roy Estep of Altoona, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren, a sister Dolores Noonan of Tampa, Florida and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Catherine and a brother Robert Streightiff.

  During her working years, she was a home health aide with Home Nursing Agency.  She attended Jaggard-First United Methodist Church in Altoona.  She loved during volunteer work, reading and working puzzles.

  Due to COVID-19 Restrictions, private services will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Fred Hickok, officiating.  Interment at Grandview Cemetery.
