Donna J. Brown

Donna J. “Jeanie” Brown, 90, Altoona, went home to be with the Lord, Friday morning.

She was born in Bellwood, daughter of the late Donald and Clara (Bell) Hostler. On December 24, 1949, she married Clyde Leroy Brown in Juniata. He preceded her in death on September 30, 2011.

She is survived by four children: Barry Brown and wife Connie of Altoona, Clyde R. Brown and wife Claudia of Indiana, Curtis Brown and wife Laurie of Pleasant Gap, and Jennifer Cagle and husband Erik of Altoona; daughter-in-law, Karen Brown of Bellemeade; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Dale, granddaughter, Breanna, and two brothers and two sisters.

Donna was a 1949 graduate of Altoona High School. She was a homemaker and attended Faith Baptist Church.  Donna loved singing in the choir and had a beautiful solo voice.  She was a faithful servant of the Lord and raised her children to love and follow Him.  

Friends will be received from 9 until the 11 am funeral service on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church, 810 Ruskin Drive, Altoona, PA 16602. Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to your Parkinson’s foundation of choice.
