David P. Lower

David P. Lower, 95, Altoona, passed away early Saturday morning at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Arthur D. and Martha (Powell) Lower. On February 1, 1945, he married Alma B. Dessenberger in Altoona. She preceded him in death on January 6, 2009. David is survived by a son, Michael of Florida; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, John David. He was a 1943 graduate of Altoona School. He retired from A&P as a produce manager and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Juniata. David served as Merchant Marine during WWII. At the request of the deceased, no public services will be held.
