David Paul Gormley

David Paul Gormley, 74, Altoona, died Friday morning at UPMC-Altoona. He was born in Altoona, a son of the late Paul and Gertrude (Gates) Gormley. He was married to Deborah (Soliday) Brown on August 31, 2001 in West Virginia. Surviving are his wife Deborah, Father-in-law Bruce Soliday, sister in law, Joy Soliday-Arend(Bob), niece Jennifer Arend, all in Altoona, son James Gormley(Judy), daughter Pamela Keeney(Nathan), 4 grandchildren; Jarrod, Jorden, Charlie and Caranna and a great grandson, Jarrod Jr. Also surviving is special cousin and friend,, Harold(Judy) Williams and his former wife Carolyn. Dave was an Air Force veteran having served in Vietnam. He then was a canine police officer in Dover, Delaware. He had also worked various security positions in Blair Co. until he retired in 2014. Dave was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He and his wife served in prison ministry for 15 years. All services are private with interment at Grandview Cemetery.
