Darlene R. Kyper

Darlene R. Kyper, 82, of Altoona, passed away early Sunday morning at Greystone at Bellemeade. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Donald A. and Florence L (Rock) Reidenbaugh. She married Frederick E. Kyper February 19, 1954, in Altoona. He preceded her in death in 2011. Surviving are: her son Steve M. Kyper and his wife Susan of Ebensburg; her son-in-law Jeffrey Chestney; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, and two sisters-in-law: Anne McMearty of Millville, NJ, and JoAnn Kyper of Altoona. She was preceded in death by her daughter Dana Chestney. Darlene was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Altoona High School. She attended Faith United Church of Christ, and enjoyed spending time with her family. Services for Darlene are private at the convenience of the family. Interment at Aughwick-Germany Valley Cemetery, Shirleysburg. Arrangements by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc.
