Daniel L Vandrew

Daniel L. Vandrew, 62, Altoona, passed away Wednesday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Rome, NY, son of Terry L. and Vernice (Johnson) Vandrew. He married Valerie A. Hummel in 1985 in Altoona. In addition to his wife, Valerie, of 36 years; he is survived by a son, Daniel L. Vandrew, II of Altoona; his mother, Vernice; three siblings: Steve Vandrew, Julie Przybysz and husband John, and Kristi Bellomy and husband Phil; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Hallie Vandrew and a sister-in-law, Charlene Vandrew. Daniel retired from Hoss’s as a technician after 30 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially loved spending time at camp. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He served in the US Army. Friends will be received on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 5 until the 7 pm funeral service at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata with Pastor Jim Balzano officiating. Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery.
