Clara D. Hite

Clara D. (LaMorte) Hite, 92, passed away early Wednesday morning.

She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late John G. and Grace (Finocho) LaMorte.

On January 21, 1956, she married William A. Hite, who preceded her in death on December 1, 1997.

Together they had two children, Kevin l. (Jeanne) and Kathryn Hileman (Scott). They were blessed with three grandchildren, Andrew Hileman (Taylor), Kathryn McNally (Daniel) and Jared Hileman (Lauren), as well as three great grand-daughters, Lydia and Lainey Hileman and Mackenzie McNally. Clara was survived by a brother, John, and preceded in death by two brother, Michael and Robert LaMorte.

Clara worked with her husband at W. A. Hite Locksmiths in Altoona, served as a volunteer at the Altoona Hospital and worked at Sam’s Club as a food demonstrator. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and Silver Sneakers at the Summit.

Clara was a devoted mother and loving grandmother and was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Juniata.

A memorial service will be held in January at Trinity Lutheran Church.
