Catherine Lee Shomo08/07/1951---02/01/2019Catherine Lee Shomo, 67, Altoona, passed away Friday at the Lutheran Home. She was born in Colorado, daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Taylor) Sanches. She is survived by her two daughters: Vicki Shomo and Stephanie McCready (Richard) of Altoona; 3 grandchildren: Christopher Shomo, Jennifer and Tanya McCready, and a great-grandson Jareem Case; 4 sisters: Margret Mowe, Carrie Gomez, Charlotte Hawkins, Carolyn Cunningham, and 2 brothers: Mike and Pat McCoy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and her doges Sophie and Annie.She was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Joseph Sanches, Lonnie Mowe, and Omer Sanches.Catherine was a high school graduate, and worked over the years at Garvey Manor and Pyramid Healthcare as a cook. She liked to read books, camp and spend time with family, especially her grandson Christopher.A memorial service will be held at Grace Bible Church on June 8, 2019 at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Catherine’s memory to her daughters.www.maukandyates.com
