Bonnie Dawson

Bonnie L. Dawson, 68, Altoona, passed away early Sunday morning at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Robert A. and Betty J. (Steele) Weston.

Bonnie is survived by a daughter, Bellemi Dawson of Duncansville; a son, Hunter Dawson of Duncansville; two brothers: Barry W. Weston (Darlene) and Jim Weston (Diane), both of Altoona; a sister-in-law, Polly Weston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, John Weston.

Bonnie graduated from Penn State University. She worked at Bell Telephone Company as an operator and volunteered for Contact Altoona and the Women’s Domestic Abuse Shelter.

She attended Mardorf United Methodist Church and was an avid Penn State football fan.

Friends will be received from 3 to 4 pm on Friday, November 11, 2022 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4^th Avenue, Altoona where a memorial service will be held at 4 pm with Pastor Matt Plott officiating. Inurnment will be made at Rose Hill Cemetery.
