Betty Weierick

  Betty J. Weierick, 92, Hollidaysburg, died Friday, June 10, 2022, at the Presbyterian Home, Hollidaysburg.  She was born August 27, 1929, in Pinecroft, a daughter of the late Clarence and Rebecca (Butterbaugh) Lantz.  She was a longtime resident of Greenwood.  Betty was married to Clarence W. Weierick for 60 years before his passing in March 2010.  She was predeceased by two sons, Wayne W. and Paul R. Weierick as well as three brothers and three sisters.

  She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Wise (Tom) and Louann Loechner (Tom); two daughter in laws, Bonnie Weierick and Jeanne Weierick; a grandson Travis Weierick; a granddaughter, Melinda Shore (Mike) and her children Barrett Hicks, Kanden Sipes (Danica), Haidyn Sipes, and Ethan Sipes; a sister Carol Rightenour and a brother Fletcher Lantz.

  Betty loved children especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and the many generations of children she cared for in her home over the years.

  She was of the protestant faith and was a prayer warrior.

  Services will be private at the convenience of the family with Pastor Matt Hornberger, officiating.     Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Twp.
