Betty Victoria Kozak

Betty Victoria Kozak, 95, of Epworth Manor, formerly of Blair Towers, passed away Thursday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Jack and Mildred (Heaton) Carey. She is survived by a son Jeff and wife Sharon of Altoona; grandchildren: Ian and Jessica; great grandchildren: Blake, Jude, and Wyatt; a granddaughter, Barbara (Kyle) Sellers and children: Sean and Ethan; a sister in law, Anna Mae Carey; cousins: Gayle Scherden and Charlene (Frank) Thompson; special cousins: Kim, Lisa, and Kris; and great friends: Donna Irvin, and Marcy Otto. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary (Mercedes), two brothers: Michael (Pat) and Richard Carey; cousin, Shirley Kane; and special friends: Lil and Yvonne. Betty retired as administrative assistant for NFU as well as from social security. She also worked as a sales associate for many years for Gables. She enjoyed her time at the Juniata Breakfast Club and Cousins Dinners and most recently enjoyed her Tuesday Library Meetings. At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or services.
